We created TC for Kids to make a difference in the lives of children the student write a particular paper in our community who may not experience the joy of receiving a gift for the holidays. Our goal is to give kids a reason to smile and help them know what it is like to feel special. Travis loved kids and we want to share that love with others. We want to help kids enjoy a happy and healthy life in every way we can.
On January 17, 1977, I gave birth to a beautiful little boy, Travis Christenson. Travis has an older sister, Kara and younger sister, Tiffany. Travis loved playing sports, especially with Kara. She always challenged him to be the best he could be. They played endlessly day after day, and both always wanted to be the winner. He played baseball, football, basketball, golf and wrestling and excelled in each one. Travis was a loving and caring young man who loved teaching kids the basics of playing a sport. He loved gathering all the neighbor kids together for a quick game.
Travis graduated from high school in 1995 and chose to wait before going to college for architecture. He was my homework a very talented artist with a passion for designing buildings or houses. He was registered for fall classes at the local technical college when the accident happened that took his life. Travis wanted a family and lots of kids, because he truly was a kid at heart.
